RTPS Bihar is an e-portal launched by the Government of Bihar. Through this portal, the residents of Bihar can easily apply for Caste, Residential, Income certificate online and get the papers in the form of a computerized certificate.
With this online facility, the residents of Bihar will be able to avail their respective certificates from the RTPS Bihar e-portal.
RTPS Documents Required for Caste, Income Certificate
Check the list of documents required on RTPS Bihar portal to apply online for caste, income and residential certificates.
For RTPS Bihar Caste Certificate:
- It is necessary to have an Aadhaar card, Voter ID card, PAN card, etc.
- A driving license, residential certificate, etc. are required.
- Ration card photocopy.
For RTPS Bihar Income Certificate:
- Age certificate such as a birth certificate
- Residential proof certificate
- It is mandatory to have proof of monthly income.
- A photocopy of the Ration Card
For RTPS Bihar Residential Certificate:
- Aadhaar card and Voter ID card
- PAN card and ration card
RTPS Bihar Application Process
Below we explain the process to apply online for Caste, Income, Residential certificate on RTPS BIHAR e-portal.
1) First of all, applicants who want to get their caste, income and residence certificate online, then they have to go to the official website of RTPS Bihar e portal.
2) Now login in this portal with the help of registered Login ID. Get OTP and verify it.
If you don’t have an account on RTPS Bihar portal, then first you have registered yourself.
For the registration process, click on the ‘Register Youself‘ link under the Citizen section on the right side.
A registration popup form will be displayed on the screen, fill it and submit it. You will get a LOGIN ID, this will be used for login in this portal.
3) After RTPS account login, welcome to service plus page will open. Here you see the left menu, click on ‘Apply for services‘ -> ‘view all available services‘ option.
Here, all available RTPS Bihar online services are shown, you can pick anyone here.
For caste certificate, type ‘caste’ in the search box, it will show all three options for caste certificate like at CO level, at DM level, and at SDO level. You can choose any service your need.
Mostly, caste certificate at CO level is generally used, so lets click on it.
4) Now, the application form for issuance of the certificate will appear, fill in all details and upload your photo here.
5) After that, click on the ‘Process’ button at the bottom to submit this application form. Now you have to verify your Aadhaar number via an OTP number.
Input received OTP number in the input box and validate it. At last, your online application is submitted successfully.

Check RTPS Bihar Application Status
You can check your RTPS Bihar application status also, like process initiated status, date of completion, etc.
To view status, click on the ‘View Status of Application‘ -> ‘Track application status’ option.
Here you can view the status of the RTPS application via From date, To date, and by Application reference number.
Click to Get Data button, and all the lists related to your application will be shown on the screen with the status report.
RTPS Bihar Caste Certificate Download Process
In the current application status, you see the ‘Delivered’ status. To download the caste certificate click on it.
After that, a popup will be shown with the name of Status of Application, Click on the ‘Caste Certificate’ link. This will automatically download your certificate in PDF format.
You can take out printout of your certificate also.
By following same steps, you can apply for Income, OBC and Residential certificate via RTPS Bihar portal online.
