TN Employment Registration Online Process
If you have not registered before, you can create a new employment registration through the official portal.
1) Open the Empower-Employment and Training Department to start the employment registration process.
2) Click on the ‘New User’ option, this will prompt you instruction popup, click on the I Agree button to proceed.

3) An candidate registration form will open, enter your personal detail and click on Save button. Must keep note your User ID and Password.
4) After that user dashboard page will open with five sections. You have to fill in all details in all sections like Personal Details, Contact details, Qualification, Technical/Diploma courses and Skills details.
5) After filling in all the required information, click the Save button. Your registration with the Tamilnadu Employment Exchange will be completed.
You can take a printout of your employment card. Your login credentials will also be sent to your registered email address or mobile number.

TN Employment and Training Department Login
If you have already registered, you can use the empower employment portal to access your employment details.
Open the official website and enter the user ID and password, which you have entered at the time of new employment registration. If you forgot your login details, use the forgot password option available on the portal.
How to Renew TN Employment Registration
Employment registration is not a one time process. The Tamilnadu Employment Department says registration should generally be renewed once every three years. TN employment renewal should be completed within three months from the due date.
Step 1 – Visit https://tnvelaivaaippu.gov.in/Empower portal and choose ‘Renewal’ option then log in it via user credentials.
Step 2 – After this, user dashboard will shows on screen. Click on ‘Update Profile’ option on the the top of the page.
Click on Renewal -> Candidate Renewal menu option.

Step 3 – The system will display your current registration details, including the renewal date and status. Check the details and click Request Renewal.
After this download the renewal acknowledgement recipt and keep safe for future reference. The department provides renewal services online, so you do not always need to visit the employment office in person.
How to Check TN Employment Renewal Status
After submit renewal request, you can check your registration details to confirm employment renewal status online.

- Check your registration validity/renewal date and current registration status.
- If the validity or expiry date has been extended, it indicates that your renewal has been successfully completed.
If the updated renewal information is not displayed, follow the instructions provided on the portal or contact your concerned Employment Office.
What If Your Employment Renewal Is Missed?
If you missed your renewal date, you do not need to register again.
The official FAQ states, “If you do not renew your registration within the given time, then candidate can use the 18 month renewal concession.”
