What is ABHA Card?
ABHA stands for Ayushman Bharat Health Account. It is your 14 digit digital health ID issued free to every Indian citizen under the government’s Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
Think of it as a health locker. All your prescriptions, lab reports, and hospital records go in. You decide who can see them. Doctors and hospitals get your history in seconds, no paperwork, no lost files.
Over 68.5 crore Indians already have one. Creating and downloading it is 100% free.
ABHA card is not same as Ayushman Bharat card. ABHA is a digital health ID for everyone. Ayushman Bharat (PMJAY) gives free treatment worth ₹5 lakh for eligible families only. You can have both.
