On this occasion of Panchayati Raj Day, PM Modi launched the e-Gram Swaraj Portal through video conferencing with panchayats and members across the country.
With this, more than 2 lakh panchayats of the country will go a long way in planning and monitoring expenses.
Users can access all the details of the Bharatiya Panchayat Report by visiting the e-gram Swaraj portal. This portal will simplify accounting and reporting systems.
The main reason for launching the e-gram Swaraj portal is to streamline the implementation of all schemes and strengthen Panchayati Raj institutions.
Benefits of e-Gram Swaraj Portal
- It has been launched by the Central Government’s Ministry of Panchayati Raj
- In this application, every piece of information about the plans and expenses of Gram Panchayats and Sarpanch, Panches and Panchayat Secretary will be available in one place.
- On this portal, there will be all information related to the details of the development work of the Panchayat, the funds fixed for it, and its expenses.
- Any person will be able to keep information about the work being done in his gram panchayat.
- Transparency will also increase in gram panchayats, record keeping will also be easier.
- From the planning of projects, the process of completion will also be faster.
- Through e-gram swaraj everyone is going to get a big power.
- Right now, in the six states of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand, this scheme is being started on a pilot basis, as a big experiment. Later this scheme will be implemented in the whole country.

How to Download e-Gram Swaraj App:
e-Gram also has an app for both Android and iOS users. However, currently, the app is only available on the Google Play Store.
To download the application, you need to follow these simple steps.
- Open Google Play Store on your mobile phone and type e gram swaraj app in the search bar.
- Once the app is downloaded, you can log in with your credentials and start using the app
