Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal started the Parivar Pehchan Patra scheme by giving family ID cards to 20 families in Panchkula on July 4 2020. The government has collected data of 56 lakh families in the state, in which the work of creating family identity cards of 18 lakh 28 thousand families has started.
The government has decided to cover the entire Haryana under this scheme within 3 months.
In the first phase, the state government has made family identity cards in all government schools. But now private schools are also being included in this process. Instructions have been issued by the Directorate of Education to all the District Education Officers and District Basic Education Officers of the state.
Private school managers will provide seats for the govt. employees for making family identity cards and staff will be provided by the District Deputy Commissioner. Students studying in private schools will arrive with their parents and the school manager will seat them there with physical distancing.
What is Family Identity Card Scheme?
Through this family identity card, the government will be able to collect data of the entire family. The Haryana 14-digit unique identity card under the Haryana Parivar Pehchan Patra Scheme 2020 aims to provide transparency in the delivery of citizen-centric services as well as reducing corruption and detecting fake beneficiaries of the state.

How to Apply for Parivar Pehchan Patra
For making parivar pehchan patra, forms can be taken free of cost at all ration depots, tehsil offices, block development offices, gas agencies, government schools, Atal Seva Kendras, and Saral Center.
Fill the correct information of yourself and all family members in the form. Submit it with the necessary paper.
The concerned officials will investigate the form. If everything is correct, the applicant will get a family identification card with an eight-digit ID in the form of a smart card. The name of the head of the family will be at the top in this card, while the information of other members will be at the bottom.
