The Central government has also launched the farmers pension scheme PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana 2022 (PMKMY). In this scheme, after getting 60 years of age, minimum Rs 3000 pension is being given to the farmers, who are registered under the scheme.
According to the data, about 21 lakh farmers already registered themselves under this scheme so far. This pension fund is powered by the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
Kisan Mandhan Yojana (PMKMY) Eligibility Criteria
Under the Kisan Pension Scheme, farmer’s age should be between 18 to 40 years. And they must have cultivable land up to a maximum of 2 hectares.
Those farmers, who already engaged in other social security scheme like National Pension Scheme, Employees State Insurance Corporation, Scheme, Employees Provident Fund Scheme, can not apply for Kisan Mandhan Yojana.
PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana 2022 Registration Process
To apply for Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana, You can get registered in two ways, one is Self Enrollment and the other is by CSC VLE.
Documents Required
- Aadhaar card
- Two passport size photos
- Bank passbook
- Khasra-Khatauni copy.
The farmer must also have a savings bank account or PM farmer account. No fees will be paid for the application in the plan for the self-enrollment process.
Self Enrollment Process for PMKMY:
1) Open Maandhan e-governance www.maandhan.in website in your web browser and click on Apply Now button.
2) Then, you will be redirected to a page with two apply options, choose the Self Enrollment option here.
3) A login using a mobile popup will show, enter your mobile number and verify it.
4) Now the application form will be displayed on the screen, fill in all required details such as name, father/husband name, date of birth, gender, caste, etc. and upload the required documents.
5) Click on Submit button to complete the registration process.

CSC Option to Apply Online PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana
For this process, you have to go to your nearest CSC Center and apply for Kisan pension scheme.
Step 1: Visit your nearest CSC center, the VLE will log in to the Maandhan website with his credential to register for Kisan Maandhan yojana.
Step 2: The operator submits your Adhaar card and completes the registration details like Phone, email address, Bank details, Nominee, etc.
Step 3: The system will auto-calculate the monthly contribution amount according to your age. You can pay the first installment to VLE by cash mode.
Step 4: Now, the csc operator will take a printout of the form and signed by the subscriber, and upload it into the system.
Step 5: A Kisan Pension Account Number will be generated and Kisan Card will be printed.
