Post Highlights
If you are a woman living in Madhya Pradesh and want to get ₹1,500 every month from the government, Ladli Behna Yojana is for you. This guide covers everything eligibility, documents, how the application actually works, eKYC, and how to check your payment status online.
What Is Ladli Behna Yojana?
The Madhya Pradesh government launched Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana to enhance the health, nutrition, and economic empowerment of women across the state. The scheme send money directly into a woman’s own bank account, not the household head’s account. The idea is simple: when women control their own money, they make better decisions for their families.
The 35th installment of the scheme was released on April 12, 2026, with over ₹1,836 crore transferred directly into the bank accounts of more than 1.25 crore women beneficiaries across Madhya Pradesh through DBT. The total amount disbursed under this scheme so far has crossed ₹55,000 crore.
Note: This is an MP state government scheme. It is different from Maharashtra’s Ladki Bahin Yojana and Haryana’s Lado Lakshmi Yojana. If you live outside Madhya Pradesh, this article does not apply to you.

Step by Step: Ladli Behna Yojana Online Apply Process
A very common question is: can I apply for Ladli Behna Yojana completely online from home?
The honest answer is no, not fully online from home. Application forms are available at Gram Panchayat offices, Ward Offices, and designated camp sites. The form is filled and entered into the Ladli Behna portal or app by the camp officer, not by the applicant herself. Your live photograph is also taken at the camp at the time of registration.
Here is how the process works in practice:
Step 1 – Complete eKYC first
Do your Aadhaar Samagra eKYC on the Samagra portal (explained below). Do not skip this.
Step 2 – Visit your nearest camp or Gram Panchayat
Go to your Gram Panchayat office, Ward Office, or the designated camp site in your area. You must be physically present, no proxy is allowed, as a live photo is taken.
Step 3 – Collect and fill the application form
Collect the pre application form at the camp. Fill in your personal details, Samagra ID, Aadhaar number, and bank account information.
Step 4 – Form entry by camp officer
The camp in charge enters your details into the Ladli Behna portal or app. Once successfully entered, you receive a printed acknowledgement slip with your online application number. This number is also sent to you by SMS or WhatsApp.
Step 5 – Keep your acknowledgement slip safe
The application number on your slip is what you use to check your status later. Do not lose it.
The entire application process is free. No fees are charged at any stage.
Ladli Behna Yojana eKYC – Why It’s Mandatory
This is the step many women miss and it causes their application to be rejected.
Aadhaar Samagra eKYC is compulsory before applying. It involves matching your Aadhaar data with your Samagra profile either through OTP or biometric verification. If your eKYC is not done, your application will not be accepted.

How to Complete Ladli Behna Yojana eKYC
- Visit the official Samagra ID website
- On the homepage, click on the “Aadhaar e-KYC”
- Enter your Samagra member ID and Aadhaar number
- Verify using OTP sent to your Aadhaar linked mobile number or through biometric at a CSC centre.
If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, you will need to visit a Common Service Centre (CSC) or Gram Panchayat for biometric based eKYC. You cannot complete it online in that case.
Documents You Need Before Applying
According to the official Ladli Behna Yojana portal, three core documents are required:
- Samagra ID – Both your family Samagra ID and your individual member Samagra ID (issued by the MP Samagra portal)
- Aadhaar Card – Photo ID issued by UIDAI
- Mobile Number – The number registered on the Samagra portal
Before you go to the application camp, also make sure:
- Your own individual bank account – Joint accounts are not accepted
- Aadhaar is linked to your bank account and DBT is active – This is required for the money to reach you
Keep a bank passbook or cancelled cheque ready to verify your account details at the time of registration.

Conclusion
Ladli Behna Yojana is one of the most impactful direct benefit schemes for women in Madhya Pradesh. By routing money to the woman rather than the household head, the scheme strengthens financial autonomy. The monthly ₹1,500 goes straight to your own bank account, and checking your status takes just a few minutes online.
The two things to remember before you apply: complete your Samagra eKYC first, and make sure your Aadhaar is linked to your personal bank account with DBT enabled. Without these two steps, even a correctly submitted application will not result in payment.
