Eligibility for New Voter ID Card
- The applicant’s age should be 18 or more than.
- A voter card is made of the same person in the state in which he is residing for a long time and he has never applied for his voter card from another place or other state before.
- A person whose mental condition is very bad, that person is not eligible to get a voter ID card.
Documents Required for Online Voter ID Card
- A Passport size photograph
- Identity proof document like Birth certificate/Aadhaar card/Driving license/Pan Card/ Matric Marksheet etc.
- Address proof documents like electricity bill, water bill, ration card, bank passbook copy, etc.
- If someone’s voter ID card is made in your relation, then his voter ID card number.
- If the applicant is more than 21 years then a Self Declaration Form For Voter Id Card is required. Which is uploaded in the online form.
- Valid email id and Mobile number

Steps to Apply New Voter Id Card Online
Step 1 :- To apply new voter card online, first, have to go to the Election Commission of India official website https://www.nvsp.in
Step 2 :- First you have to create an account on this election commission website, for this click on ‘Login/Register’ option on the home page.
Now login form page will open, to create a new account click on the ‘Don’t have account, Register as a new user’ link as shown in this image.
Step 3 :- Now, enter your mobile number and click to send OTP button.
You will get a OTP number on entered mobile number, verify it.
Step 4 :- Choose ‘I do not have Epic Number’ option and then fill your email ID and create new password for it.
After confirm the password, click to ‘Register button’.
Step 5 :- Now you have visit home page again and click to same Login option.
Logged in with new created username and password.
Step 6 :- Then you have to click on ‘Registration For New Electro’ option.
After this, application number 6 will be open with you. Then the choose the state in which you living.
Step 7 :- And whatever your information is asked inside the application, fill it carefully. After filling all the information carefully click on submit.
Step 8 :- After doing this, Take out your print out of application form.
A reference ID will be found inside it, from this ID we will be able to know the status of our voter ID card.
Note: Keep in mind that you will not have to submit any document in any office after applying online for voter card.
