Process of Applying for Birth Certificate Online

Register for a new berth certificate online is a very easy process. The government of India has launched an official portal name crsorgi.com.

From here you can easily apply for both birth and death certificate.

With the help of website, one can apply for someone’s birth certificate after 21 days of birth. After 15 to 20 days of applying, you will get your certificate.

Step 1: To get a birth certificate, first of all, you have signup for a new account on the official website crsrol.gov.in.

Step 2: Find ‘General Public Signup‘ link option and click on it.

The Signup pop-up form will appear on the screen.

Fill in all your valid details like username, user ID, district or town/village, your mobile number, place of birth, and so on.

After filling in place of birth details, check-in Registration Unit field, if it shows the username as active, it means your entered area is valid for online registration.

Step 3: Now enter the captcha code and click on register button.

After this a pop up message will prompt to validate your email id via activation link.

Check your email inbox and click on link, this will ask you to setup new password for login.

Step 4: After this process, logged in portal with your access.

No click ‘add birth registration‘ link under Birth Menu option.

Step 5: A birth registration form page will appear, now fill this form very carefully.

After submit this form, take its print out and download a soft copy on your computer

Step 6: At last, visit the Registrar’s office of your region and get the downloaded application form attested by him or the Sub-Registrar.

Documents Required

  • Proof of birth letter by the hospital.
  • Aadhaar card of Father and Mother
  • Address Proof

Offline Process to Apply for Birth Certificate

If a child born in a hospital, then proof of birth letter is provided by hospital along with discharge card.

Visit your nearest Municipal Corporation or Panchayat office and submit the documents to get a birth certificate form.

Fill the application form within 21 days of the birth.

The Municipal Authority will then verify the provided documents and all details. If everything is ok, then the birth certificate will be issued and delivered to your address within 7-15 days.
