What is EWS Certificate

EWS full form is ‘Economically Weaker Sections’. This certificate is made for the economically weaker sections, in which, 10% reservation in the center and state jobs is given to the financially weaker general class members.

EWS certificate is similar to income certificate which reflects your financial status.

EWS Certificate Eligibility Criteria

1. Applicant must be a ‘general’ category candidate (not under reservation for SC, ST or OBC).
2. The applicant family’s total annual income should be less than Rs 8,00,000.
3. This includes all methods of earning for you such as agriculture, salary, business before applying.

Who can not Apply?

1. Your family should not have 5 acres or more of agricultural land.
2. Your family should not have a Residential Plot of 1000 Feet Square or more.

• Passport size photo
• Income certificate

• BPL Ration Card

• Self-declaration form

How to Apply for EWS Certificate

There has been no online process started yet to apply for an EWS certificate. Therefore, you can only apply it via offline mode.

To make an EWS certificate, you have to visit your area Tehsil – District Magistrate / Additional District Magistrate / Collector / Additional ‘Deputy Commissioner office.

To apply for an EWS certificate, you need an EWS Certificate Application Form. You can purchase it from any shop, also you can get it free form the district office.
