Seva Sindhu Bus Pass Application 2026-27 – Latest Update
For the 2026-27 academic year, students have to apply for the bus pass through Seva Sindhu. KSRTC says the student pass distribution process is fully computerised.
As per the current official instructions state that free bus passes are being issued to students from June 12, 2026. The current eligibility rules for student passes, including educational qualification, distance limits and pass validity, continue to apply.
The scheme covers student who travel on buses operated by Karnataka State Road transport corporations (KSRTC). The government has also allow to take the benefit to eligible students from Karnataka studying in neighbouring states.

Follow the step by step online application process via dedicated Seva Sindhu bus pass portal.
Step 1: Open the Bus Pass Portal
Go to: Seva Sindhu Bus Pass Portal
For new users, have to register with aadhaar card number than they can apply for the free bus pass through this portal.
After successful registration, login and start your bus pass application process.
Step 2: Select the Student Bus Pass Service
Select the student bus pass service for your transport corporation. The portal has options such as KSRTC, NWKRTC and KKRTC. Choose the one that applies to your route.
Step 3: Enter Your Student Details
Enter your details in the application form, such as your name, date of birth, school or college name, course, class and other required information. Check the details before moving to the next step.
Step 4: Enter Your Travel Details
Enter your travel details, including where you travel from and where you want to go. If the form asks for a route or via point, enter those details as well. Check the route carefully before submitting the application.
Step 5: Complete the Declaration Form
Download the Student Bus Pass Declaration Form from the Seva Sindhu portal or KSRTC website. Fill it in and get it signed and stamped by your school or college, if required. Then upload the completed form with your application.
Step 6: Select the Pass Collection Counter
The application asks students to select a preferred pass counter for collecting the physical pass.
Choose a counter that is convenient for you. KSRTC has published a list of 123 student pass issuing counters for this purpose.
Step 7: Submit the Application
Before submitting, check the details you entered and make sure the required information and documents have been provided.
Submit the application and save the application/reference number shown after submission.
You should keep this number until you receive the bus pass because it can be used to follow up on the application.
KSRTC Bus Pass Application 2026-27
If you need a KSRTC student bus pass, the application is also submitted through Seva Sindhu.
The current KSRTC instructions specifically say that students seeking a 2026-27 KSRTC student bus pass have to apply through Seva Sindhu. The pass distribution process is fully computerised.

Is the Student Bus Pass Free in 2026-27?
Yes. The Karnataka government has extended the free student bus pass facility to eligible students travelling on buses operated by the state transport corporations.
The government order also continued the existing eligibility conditions, including educational qualification, distance limits and validity periods.
For online applications, KSRTC states that there is no application charge. Students who use Karnataka-One or Grama-One centres have to pay a ₹30 service charge for the assisted service.

How to Collect the Student Bus Pass?
After you receive the SMS, visit the collection centre mentioned in the message. It may be a KSRTC bus stand, Karnataka One or Grama One centre, depending on your application.

Carry your application details when you go to collect the pass. If there is any applicable fee at the time of collection, you can pay it at the counter using the available payment options.
