Delhi University is one of the most popular university in Asia for higher education. Which offers many professional courses, part-time degrees, etc. to students.

Every year approx 50000 students get passed out from Delhi university. In this tutorial, we will bring out some useful information about getting the DU migration certificate procedure.

Important Point regarding DU Migration Certificate:

  • Candidates who seek DU migration certificate without completing the course will have to submit their leaving certificate.
  • The application should be signed and stamped by all the respective Heads of the Department & Institutions of Delhi University in case a student is pursuing both degree & Diploma course from the University of Delhi.
  • The application form must be signed by the student and in no case by someone else on his/her behalf
  • The candidate should enclose a self‐addressed envelope with requisite postal charges in case a certificate is required by post.
  • South Campus students are advised to contact south campus departments.

How to Apply for DU Migration Certificate:

Step 1: First, students have to visit their respective colleges and ask their administrative department for the migration certificate form.

Fill the form details very carefully. You can download the migration application form from here.

Step 2: After filling the form, the students have to pay the migration certificate application form fee, which is around Rs. 500.

After that get attested migration application form by the college authorities and submit it in the Delhi University department or the Vice Chancellor’s office.

Note: You have to submit Mark sheet photocopy and Fee receipt along with the migration application form.

Step 3: Atter submitted these documents, the department gives an attested receipt, on which pick date is mentioned. Usually, this will take one week to process.

On that date, student have to re-visit administartive department and collect his DU migration certificate. Must bring attested reciept otherwise they did not issue your migration certificate.

Keep your migration certificate safe, otherwise you have to pay extra fee to get his duplicate copy.

Delhi University Inter-College Migration procedure

The above process is for obtaining a normal migration certificate, now we discuss inter-college migration certificate.

Documents Required for Inter-college DU Migration Certificate:

  • A NOC (No Objection Certificate) from both the colleges
  • Leaving certificate
  • Photocopy of the original documents must be self-attested

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The student must be passed his first year (both semesters).
  • Only students who enrolled in B.Com (Hons), B.Com, BA Programme, BA (Hons), B.Sc (Hons), can apply for inter-college migration.
  • Student must be enrolled in the course that is offered by the college or university
  • Must check it eligibility criteria of other colleges (Some have required additional admission criteria)
