Life Certificate for Pensioners: To reduce the problem faced by pensioners in the country, the Government of India has launched a scheme called Jeevan Praman, a digital life certificate for pensioners in India.
It seeks to reduce the problems of senior citizens. Its purpose is to streamline the process of securing the life certificate.
What is Digital Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan)?
Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric-enabled digital service especially for pensioners in India.
This is an Indian Government initiative, which helps pensioners to secure the life certificate by digitizing the entire process.
All the retired central government employees, State Government, or any other government organization can avail of this scheme.
You can submit Life Certificate online or via submitting a hard copy of it in your nearest branch bank.
What is required to submit an online life certificate?
Below mentioned, you need to submit online life certificate.
- Aadhaar number
- Mobile number
- Pension payment order (PPO) number
- Account number.
Download Digital Pensioner Life Certificate Online:
1) First Visit the official Jeevan Pramaan portal https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in.
2) On the menu option, click on the Download option then a form will show. Enter your email id and click on Agree to Download button.
After this an OTP is generated on your provided email ID, enter it, and submit it.
Now you will get two download options, one for Windows and another is for the Android app. For the computer process, click on the Download on Windows button, a link sent to your email id.
3) Download the Windows application software, and the WinRar file will be downloaded. Extract that file and install the application on your computer.
4) After this, an icon shows on your desktop. Open that application and authenticate your Aadhar card via OTP.
5) Enter operator name (you can fill the same name as mentioned on your Aadhar card). Before accept agree condition must connect with biometric scanner device with your computer. Then click on the scan finger button.
6) Now you have to fill in pensioner details on the same desktop application.
Again you have to verify biometric, click on scan finger, and after the authentication process complete, pensioner details will prompt on-screen with photo.
7) Now, the pensioner digital life certificate has been submitted successfully, take a print out of it.
8) To download your Life certificate, again visit Jeevan Praman’s official website, and click on the ‘pensioner sign in’ option at the top.
9) Fill in your Pension ID and verify OPT process. Now you will get an option to Download Digital Life Certificate.

How to Submit Pensioners Life Certificate
Let’s check it out the submission process of the Life Certificate through the Doorstep banking facility.
1) First download the ‘Doorstep Banking App‘ in your mobile phone.
2) Choose your bank option and submit a request for doorstep service for submission of Life Certificate.
3) Fill your Pension account number and verify it.
4) Pay Doorstep services charges online.
5) After this process, your request has been successfully placed and you will receive an SMS.
6) The bank agent will visit your house and complete the Life Certificate submission process
